NEWSPAPER NAILS with water, not alcohol

okay, so I was watching videos on Youtube to inspire me to paint my nails with a cool technique, and I came across newspaper nail art!
I thought it looked absolutely amazing so I fetched all the stuff that was needed, and I didn't have any alcohol.
I was searching for alternatives, and I found this video, which shows you how to create newspaper nails with WATER, not alcohol!

and I decided to try it out, it was successful, and I'd like to show you guys how to do it for yourselves:) x

NEWSPAPER NAILS-TUTORIAL

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: *CLEAR COAT
                                               *WHITE POLISH
                                               *A CUP OF WATER
                                               *NEWSPAPER

1. PREPARE YOUR NAILS: cut and file your nails into shape

2. APPLY A BASE COAT: apply a clear coat to your nails to protect them.

3. Paint your nails WHITE:

4. Cut out 10 squares of newspaper, making sure they're big enough to fit around your nail:

5. Making sure your nails are completely dry, dip a piece of newspaper into your cup of water:

5. APPLY THE WET PAPER ONTO YOUR NAIL AND SQUEEZE/PRESS DOWN:

when you've left it on your nail for about 1 minute, peel it off and you will be left with a great "newspaper" effect.
REPEAT THIS METHOD FOR ALL OF YOUR NAILS!!!

6. *THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT* make sure you apply a clear coat to your nails after you've completed them, otherwise the ink will just rub off!

ENJOY YOUR BRAND NEW NEWSPAPER NAILS!

(you can also do it with alcohol, it comes out slightly darker, and you can experiment using comic strips etc...)
